Photo engraving guidelines

The better the photo, the better the engraving. Here’s what works best:

Pet’s face is clearly visible (front or slight angle)
Good lighting, sharp focus
High contrast (eyes/nose visible)
Simple background
Avoid
Very dark photos or heavy shadows
Blurry, low-resolution images
Face too far away / tiny in the frame

How to use your urn

Your memorial urn necklace is designed to hold a very small keepsake so you can keep them close. Follow the steps below to insert the contents safely and securely.

    Wash and dry your hands, then place the necklace on a clean, flat surface. Make sure the area is well-lit so you can see the opening clearly.

    Locate the small screw closure on the pendant. Using a small screwdriver, gently unscrew it (do not force it).

  3. 3

    Insert a very small amount of ashes (or another tiny keepsake). A small funnel or folded paper can help keep the opening clean.

  4. 4

    Screw the closure back in firmly until it is closed. Wipe the pendant gently with a soft cloth and store or wear it as usual.

  • Avoid water, perfume, lotions, and harsh chemicals.
  • Remove before showering, swimming, or exercising.
  • Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing.
  • Store in a dry place when not in use.
  • The compartment is not guaranteed waterproof — handle with care.

This pendant is designed to hold a very small amount of ashes (a pinch) or a tiny keepsake such as a small strand of fur or a small piece of fabric. Please do not overfill — the closure should screw in smoothly.

How does personalization work?

Choose your piece, then enter the details you’d like engraved (pet name and, if available on that item, an optional second line such as a date or short message). If the product supports photo engraving, you can also upload a clear pet photo. You’ll be able to select an engraving font before adding the item to your cart. After you place your order, we prepare your design for engraving and carefully craft your piece to order. If anything in the photo isn’t suitable for a clean engraving, we’ll contact you before production to confirm the best option.

What kind of photos work best for engraving?

The best results come from photos that are:

  • well-lit (natural light is ideal)
  • in focus
  • showing your pet clearly (especially the face)
  • not heavily filtered or too dark

If a photo won’t engrave well, we’ll contact you to request a better one.

Will I see a preview before you engrave it?

We don’t show live previews on the website. We create a clean engraving-style design from your photo and engrave it carefully.
If we think the result might be unclear, we’ll reach out before proceeding.

Can I engrave any text?

Yes — most pieces can be engraved with a pet name (and in some cases short text).
Please double-check spelling and capitalization — we engrave exactly what you enter.

What is a memorial urn necklace and how does it work?

A memorial urn necklace is a discreet pendant that opens with a small screw, allowing you to place a small amount of ashes inside at home.
You can also choose photo or name engraving on the outside (depending on the product).

How long does it take to make my order?

Each piece is made to order. Production typically takes 1-3 business days depending on demand and the type of engraving.

What if I made a mistake (wrong name/photo)?

If you notice an issue right after ordering, contact us as soon as possible.
Once production starts, changes may not be possible — but we’ll always try to help.

Can I return a personalized item?

Because each piece is made specifically for you, personalized items are generally not returnable unless there is a defect or an error on our side.
